An AI Live Show That Runs Itself Day After Day: How Mint Stage Rotates Its Cast and Programs

Mint Stage: a cast shares one set, the lead rotates each program, songs and dances are new every day. About 1,700 credits a music day, about 2,000 in HD.

An AI live show that runs itself is a standing schedule, not a single stream: in ReelMint's Mint Stage you choose a cast of characters, describe the show once, and every program after that is written, filmed and put on air on its own, with the lead character changing each program. A 24-hour music day costs about 1,700 credits, or about 2,000 in HD, and the show can be paused, looped or resumed from its card.

We build ReelMint. Mint Live is one character, one stream that you start and end. Mint Stage is for people who want a channel that is live every day without them. This post covers the parts that make it a show: the cast, the rotation, the programs, and the controls you have once it is running.

The cast: everyone shares the stage

A show starts with the characters you pick. Two rules decide who is on screen:

  • The whole cast is on the set every program. Each program's set picture is drawn with every character the show picked, the lead in the centre, and the dance is filmed with everyone in the picture.
  • The lead rotates. The first character you pick leads program one. Each new program hands the lead to the next character in the list: the voice, the name plate and the program title follow the lead.

Because the cast is made of real characters from your Character Studio, with their own looks, faces and voices, they look the same on day 30 as on day one. If you have not made any yet, see how to create reusable characters.

The programs: a new one on a clock

"New program every" sets the clock: from 1 hour to 168 hours (a week), 24 by default. Each program is titled after the show, the day number and the cast. There are two kinds of show:

  • Music show: each program buys two new songs written to the taste you describe, a set with the cast on it, and three different dance routines (calm to energetic). About 265 credits a program, about 565 in HD, plus 1 credit a minute on air.
  • Talk show: the host talks from your brief, at 3 credits a minute on air plus the host's lines.

The next program starts preparing three hours before its switch, so it is ready on time. At the switch, the music, the dance, the set and the name plate change on the same YouTube broadcast; viewers stay on the same link. The YouTube description is rewritten each time with the program, the songs by name, the cast and hashtags.

What it costs, said plainly

With one program a day:

  • Music, Standard (720p): about 1,700 credits a day (1,440 for the minutes + about 265 for the program).
  • Music, HD (1080p): about 2,000 credits a day. HD doubles the dance clips; the songs and minutes cost the same.
  • Looping (see below): 1,440 credits a day, the minutes alone.

For comparison, Lite is $9.99 a month for 800 credits and Starter is $29 for 2,600. A daily show runs through those in a day or two, so it belongs on a larger plan. The show card shows the figure before you save, and every plan runs every feature, so the only question is the credits.

Setting it up in five minutes

  1. Connect YouTube under Connections and enable live streaming in YouTube Studio (YouTube takes 24 hours the first time). Connect your channels walks through it.
  2. Open Mint Stage, name the show and pick the characters. The first one leads on day one.
  3. Choose music or talk. For music, describe how the songs should sound and, optionally, the set: the place and what the cast wears.
  4. Pick the program length, the language, Standard or HD, the channel and who can watch.
  5. Start the show. It prepares the first program and goes on air when the program is ready.

Or type what you want in a sentence and let the assistant fill in the form for 1 credit. You see the configuration and can edit it before saving. The same steps work from an AI client over our MCP server; see drive ReelMint from Claude.

The controls once it is on air

  • Control room: type a line and the current lead says it on air, in its own voice.
  • Loop what it has (buy nothing more): the show keeps streaming but, at every switch, re-airs one of the programs it already made, oldest first, round and round. Only the minutes are charged. A program already being prepared when you turn it on still airs when ready, since it is paid for.
  • Pause: the stream on air ends and no new program is prepared until you resume.
  • Delete: the show is removed and its stream ends. Songs and clips already made stay in your library.

What it does when something breaks

A show that runs for weeks will meet a bad night. A stream that dies mid-program is restarted on the same program. If YouTube ends the broadcast under it, a new broadcast opens. A program that fails to prepare is skipped. If three streams fail within fifteen minutes, the show pauses itself and puts the reason on its card, so it never burns credits retrying a stream that cannot start. One broadcast runs up to a week, and then a fresh one opens.

Honest limits

  • YouTube Live only for now; TikTok LIVE is coming soon.
  • The host does not read the chat. It speaks your lines and, in a talk show, its own lines from the brief.
  • The ReelMint badge is on every stream, on every plan.
  • The mouth on a talking host is a filmed talking loop, not lip sync to each line.

The short video version is How to run a show that airs itself with Mint Stage; the single-stream version is How to go live with an AI character.

How does Mint Stage choose who leads each day?

The first character you pick leads program one, and each new program hands the lead to the next character in your list. The whole cast is on the set every program.

Can a show stop buying new programs but stay live?

Yes. Turn on "Loop what it has". The show re-airs its existing programs in rotation and only the minutes on air are charged, 1 credit a minute for music.

How much does a Mint Stage show cost per month?

A 24-hour music show with a new program every day is about 1,700 credits a day, roughly 51,000 a month; about 2,000 a day in HD. Longer programs or Loop bring it down.

Do viewers need a new link when the program changes?

No. Programs switch on the same broadcast, so the link stays the same for up to a week.

Do the songs and dance clips stay mine?

Yes. They are saved to your library and stay there even if you delete the show.
