How to Run a 24/7 AI Music Live Stream on YouTube With Mint Stage, and What a Day Costs
Mint Stage streams new songs and dance clips around the clock: about 1,700 credits for a 24-hour music day, about 2,000 in HD. Here is the breakdown.
To run a 24/7 AI music live stream, create a Mint Stage music show in ReelMint: pick a character, describe the music, choose how often a new program starts, and the show writes two songs, draws a set and films three dance routines for each program, then streams it to your YouTube channel without stopping. A 24-hour music day costs about 1,700 credits at 720p and about 2,000 in HD.
We build ReelMint. This post is about the money and the mechanics of a music stream that never ends: what one program buys, how the day adds up, how to make it cheaper, and what we do when the stream drops at 3 a.m.
What a music program is
A Mint Stage show is a schedule of programs. In a music show, each program is:
- Two new songs with vocals, written to the taste you describe (a daily twist is added so day 12 does not sound like day 11);
- A set: one picture of the place, with the whole cast on it in what you said they wear;
- Three dance routines filmed on that set, from calm to energetic: a flowing contemporary piece, a Latin groove and a street hip-hop routine.
On air, the songs play while the character dances. The beat of each song is analysed and a routine is chosen by the music's energy; each routine plays to its last frame and the next starts on the beat, so a move is never cut in half.
What a 24-hour music day costs
The show page prints the program price before you save. These are the figures in the product today:
- Songs: 2 × 12 = 24 credits.
- Dance clips: 3 × 80 = 240 credits at Standard (720p), or 3 × 180 = 540 in HD (1080p).
- The set picture brings a program to about 265 credits (about 565 in HD).
- Minutes on air: 1 credit a minute, so 1,440 credits for 24 hours, the same in HD.
With one program a day, a full day is about 1,700 credits (1,440 + 265), or about 2,000 in HD (1,440 + 565). Thirty days is roughly 51,000 credits, or 60,000 in HD.
To put that against the plans: Lite is $9.99 a month for 800 credits and Starter is $29 for 2,600. Neither carries a round-the-clock stream for a month; Lite covers a few hours a day of minutes. A 24/7 show is a larger-plan job, and we would rather say that here than have the show stop for credits on day two. What credits buy has the rest of the price list.
Three ways to make it cheaper
- Change programs less often. A new program can start every 1 to 168 hours; the default is 24. A program every 3 days cuts the program spend to a third, and the minutes stay the same.
- Stay at Standard. HD doubles the price of each dance clip. The songs and the minutes cost the same in both.
- Turn on Loop. "Loop what it has (buy nothing more)" keeps streaming but re-airs the programs already made, oldest first, round and round. Only the minutes are charged, so a looping music day is 1,440 credits. Turn it off any time to prepare new programs again.
How to set one up
- Connect YouTube under Connections and make sure live streaming is enabled in YouTube Studio (the first time takes YouTube 24 hours). See connect your channels.
- Open Mint Stage and choose Music show — songs and a dance.
- Pick the cast. One character is enough. Several share the set; the lead rotates by program.
- Describe how the songs should sound, and optionally the set: the place and what the character wears. Leave the set empty and it is written from the music.
- Choose "New program every", the quality, the channel and who can watch (Everyone, Anyone with the link, or Only me).
- Start the show. The first program is prepared, and the stream starts when it is ready.
If you would rather describe it in one sentence, the assistant on the page fills in the whole form for 1 credit. You check it and edit it before saving.
What happens around the clock
- The next program is prepared three hours early, so it is ready at the switch.
- At the switch, the new songs, set and dance replace the old ones on the same broadcast, so the watch link stays the same.
- The watch page says what is playing. At each switch the YouTube description is rewritten with the program, the song titles, the cast and hashtags.
- One broadcast runs up to a week, then a fresh one opens.
- A dropped stream restarts on the same program. If YouTube ends the broadcast, for example after a network blip, the show opens a new one. If three streams fail within fifteen minutes, the show pauses itself and says why on its card, instead of retrying forever.
Honest limits
- YouTube Live only, for now. TikTok LIVE is coming soon, but it is not open to every account yet.
- The host does not read the chat. In a music show it greets viewers and speaks any line you type, over the song, which is turned down while it talks.
- Every stream carries the ReelMint badge, whatever the plan.
- No 4K. Standard is 1280×720 at 30 fps; HD is 1920×1080.
The walkthrough video is How to run a show that airs itself with Mint Stage, and the song side is covered in how to generate music and songs.
How much does a 24/7 AI music live stream cost per day?
About 1,700 credits for a 24-hour day with one new program (720p), or about 2,000 in HD. With Loop on, it is 1,440 credits, the minutes alone.
Can I stream my own songs instead of generated ones?
Yes, in Mint Live's music show: a song from your library loops while the character dances, at 1 credit a minute. Mint Stage writes new songs for every program.
Does it work on TikTok LIVE?
Not for every account yet. Mint Stage streams to YouTube Live only for now; TikTok LIVE is coming soon.
Will the link change every day?
No. Programs switch on the same broadcast. A new broadcast opens only after a week, or if YouTube ended the old one.
What happens if I run out of credits?
The show cannot keep the stream on air and stops with "not enough credits to keep the show on air" on its card. Top up, and resume the show from its card if it paused.
