Terms of Service

1. About ReelMint

ReelMint is an AI video and image creation studio at reel-mint.com, an independently operated product. Registered users generate short-form videos, images and audio from text prompts and reference media using AI models operated by third-party providers (see section 7), edit them in the studio, and publish or schedule them to their own connected social-media accounts. ReelMint is sold as paid subscription plans and one-time credit packs (see section 12). These Terms govern your use of the service. By creating an account or using ReelMint, you agree to these Terms.

How you agree, and how we record it. You accept these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy by creating an account, by signing in, by confirming a purchase, and by using the service; each of those screens says so. Each time you do, we record the date and time, the version of the documents, your IP address and your browser. Those records are our evidence of your agreement, and you agree they may be relied on, including before a payment provider or a court. If you do not agree to these documents, do not create an account, sign in or buy anything.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must provide a valid email address to register. Signup is self-serve: we email you a verification code, and confirming it activates your account. No administrator approval is required.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher), able to form a binding contract, and permitted to use each connected platform under that platform's terms. Every purchase and generation made through your account is your responsibility.
  • We may suspend, decline, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or a connected platform's policies.

3. Acceptable use

By using ReelMint, you agree to:

  • Connect only social-media accounts that you own or are explicitly authorized to publish on behalf of.
  • Upload and publish only content you have the right to use.
  • Comply with each connected platform's terms of service, content policy, and all applicable laws.
  • Not use ReelMint for spam, automated misuse, harassment, copyright infringement, or any content prohibited by the connected platforms.
  • Not generate, upload, request, edit toward or publish sexual or adult content of any kind: pornography, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive material, nudity or partial nudity, "undress", "remove clothing" or "see-through" edits of any picture, fetish or sexualized content, or any sexual depiction of a real person, whether photographic, AI-generated, animated, "artistic" or implied. Not generate deepfakes or face-manipulation of real people, or content that is hateful, violent, deceptive or illegal. See the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of these Terms. These rules apply to every plan and to every ReelMint instance, the Private Studio plan and a private studio host included. Section 8 explains who screens what, why no screen is a permission, and why what you generate is yours alone.

4. Third-party platforms

ReelMint publishes content on your behalf to:

  • X (Twitter) — subject to the X Developer Agreement and Policy.
  • YouTube — subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service.
  • Facebook — subject to the Meta Platform Terms.
  • Instagram — subject to the Meta Platform Terms and Instagram Platform Policy.
  • TikTok — subject to the TikTok for Developers Terms of Service.

By connecting an account you also agree to be bound by that platform's terms. ReelMint is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these platforms.

5. YouTube-specific terms

By using ReelMint's YouTube features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. ReelMint's use of YouTube API Services is also described in our Privacy Policy, and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke ReelMint's access to your Google data at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

6. Content ownership

ReelMint claims no ownership over the content you upload or publish. You retain all rights to your content and are solely responsible for it.

7. AI-generated content & third-party AI providers

ReelMint does not create the videos, images, audio, scripts, captions or other material that appear in your studio ("Outputs"). Outputs are generated by artificial-intelligence models that are built, trained, hosted and operated by independent third-party providers. ReelMint transmits your prompt, settings and any reference media to those providers through their programming interfaces (APIs) and returns whatever the model produces. ReelMint has no control over, and no knowledge of, how those models were trained, what they will produce for a given input, or when they change.

  • Not our speech. Outputs are machine-generated. They do not represent the views, statements, knowledge or endorsement of ReelMint or its operator, and ReelMint does not author, review, curate, verify or approve them before they are shown to you.
  • No guarantee of any kind. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, offensive, biased, unsafe, low quality, or unsuitable for your purpose. They may resemble real people, places, brands, works or other content without our knowledge. Two runs of the same prompt can differ. ReelMint makes no representation that any Output is accurate, original, lawful, fit for a purpose, or free of third-party rights.
  • You decide what to do with them. You are solely responsible for reviewing every Output before you download, publish, schedule, share or otherwise use it, and for the consequences of doing so. Do not rely on an Output as professional, legal, medical, financial or factual advice.
  • Rights in Outputs. As between you and ReelMint, you may use the Outputs you generate, subject to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy and the rules of the platforms you publish to. Whether an Output is protectable by copyright, and whether it infringes anyone else's rights, depends on laws and facts outside our control; ReelMint gives no warranty either way and does not clear rights on your behalf.
  • Provider terms apply. Each generation is also subject to the usage policies of the provider whose model produced it. Those providers may refuse, filter or alter a request, change or retire a model, or suspend service at any time; ReelMint is not responsible for those decisions or for any loss that results. Credits are consumed when a provider accepts a job, whether or not you like the result.
  • Watermarks and labels. Outputs may carry a visible ReelMint mark and platform-required AI labels. You must not remove or obscure a label that a law or a platform requires, and you must disclose AI generation wherever the platform or the law asks you to. Every video also carries a ReelMint reference in its file metadata that identifies the generation it came from; you must not remove or alter it in order to hide where a video was made.
  • Minty is a generation assistant, nothing more. Minty, the in-app chat, exists for ONE purpose: to help you generate videos, images and films, set up bots and shows, and run the studio's own tools on your behalf. Minty is an AI language model, not a person and not a representative of ReelMint. Anything Minty says outside that purpose, including statements about your account, your plan, your subscription, a payment, a price other than the credit figure it quotes from a tool, a refund, these Terms, the law, or any fact about the world, is machine-generated text that may be wrong or misleading. Such statements are not advice, not a promise, not an offer, not a notice from ReelMint, and are not binding on ReelMint in any way. Do not rely on them and do not take Minty's word for them. For anything about your account, billing or plan, use the Billing page or write to support; what the app and this document say prevails over anything Minty says.
  • Indemnity. You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless ReelMint and its operator from any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Outputs you generate, publish or use, from your prompts and reference media, or from your breach of this section.

8. Adult, sexual and nudity content: who controls what, and who is responsible

Sexual, pornographic and nude content is prohibited on every plan and on every ReelMint instance (Section 3 and the Acceptable Use Policy). This section records how the service actually works, so there is no doubt about who decided to make a piece of content, who screened it, and who answers for it.

  • ReelMint is a tool, not the author. ReelMint is software that forwards your prompt, your settings and the reference media you attach to an independent AI provider and returns what that provider's model produces. ReelMint does not write prompts for you unless you ask its assistant to, does not pick what to make, does not create the Output, and does not decide what you do with it. The person who types or chooses the prompt, attaches the picture, presses Generate and then downloads, publishes or shares the result is the only person who made each of those decisions.
  • Nobody at ReelMint sees it first. The service is automated end to end. No member of staff reads your prompts, looks at your reference pictures or watches your results before, during or after a generation. We do not monitor accounts, libraries or private studios, and we have no general obligation to. We learn that a piece of content exists and breaks the rules only when someone reports it (Section 11), when a provider or a platform tells us, or when a lawful request names it.
  • The screens are not ours, and no screen is a permission. On plans other than the Private Studio plan, the text of a prompt is first passed to a third-party moderation service, which answers whether it may run. On every plan and every instance, the AI providers run their own safety systems over the prompt, the reference media and the output as part of producing the result. Those systems are built, operated, tuned and changed by those companies under their own policies; ReelMint does not configure them, cannot see how they decide, and cannot switch them on or off. They may refuse something harmless and they may let through something prohibited. A refusal is the provider's decision, not a ReelMint decision, not a defect and not a refund ground. A pass is not permission, approval, review or any indication that the content is lawful or allowed here. "No filter stopped me" is never a defence under these Terms.
  • You are the author and the publisher. As between you and ReelMint, you are the sole author, controller and publisher of every prompt you submit and every Output you keep, download, publish or share. You alone are responsible for its legality in every country where you make it, store it or make it available; for keeping it away from minors; for the consent of every real person who appears in a picture or video you upload; for the rules of every platform you post it to; and for every consequence of its existence. Uploading a picture of someone and asking a model to change what they wear, how much they wear or what they do is your act towards that person, not ours.
  • We cannot control users, and we do not undertake to. ReelMint has millions of possible prompts in front of it and no way to know your intent. Our right to refuse, remove, suspend or terminate is a right we hold to protect the service; it is not a duty we owe to you or to anyone else, and neither this section nor the existence of any screen creates a duty of care, a guarantee of enforcement or a standard we can be held to have failed. To the extent any law treats ReelMint as an intermediary or a hosting service that stores content at the direction of its users, ReelMint claims every protection that law gives such a service.
  • Zero tolerance where a minor is involved. Any sexual or sexualized depiction of a minor, real or generated, drawn, "aged up", ambiguous or implied, results in permanent termination of the account without notice and is reported, together with the account's prompts, media and records, to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the authority our law names, and to any provider or platform involved. Nothing is refunded.
  • The Private Studio plan and every private studio host. A private studio (for example a workspace on minty.codeaeon.com) is a ReelMint instance we run for one subscriber. No ReelMint moderation screen runs in front of a prompt there and no member of our staff looks at what is made there. The only automated check is the AI provider's own safety system, which is theirs and not ours, and which may refuse a request. By opening or using a private studio you accept that you are the sole operator of everything generated on it, exactly as if you had sent each request to the provider yourself; that Section 3, this section and the Acceptable Use Policy apply there in full; that the studio's host is our property and may be inspected, suspended or closed on a report, a provider or platform notice, a lawful request or a breach; and that nothing generated there is ReelMint's speech, product, endorsement or responsibility.
  • Notice and action. When content is reported to us, flagged to us by a provider or a platform, or named in a lawful request, we may look at the prompt, the reference media, the Output and the account's records; remove or disable the content; suspend or terminate the account and any private studio linked to it; preserve those records as evidence after you delete them; and hand them to the provider, the platform or the authorities. We may do all of this without notice and without a refund of anything, and we are not liable to you for doing so or for not doing so.
  • You carry the cost. The indemnity in Section 7 applies in full to sexual, nude, pornographic or otherwise prohibited content you make or use, on any plan and on any instance, and to any claim by a person depicted, a rights holder, a platform, a provider or a public authority that arises from it.

9. Commercial use, resale & white-labelling

You may use the Outputs you generate commercially — in your own business, in advertising, and in work you deliver to clients you serve directly yourself (for example as a freelancer or an agency).

Without a separate written agreement signed by ReelMint, you may not:

  • resell, rent, sublicense or share access to ReelMint, an account, credits or a plan, or let anyone outside your own organization generate through your account;
  • offer generation through ReelMint as a service of a marketplace, platform, storefront, app or API — taking orders or briefs from third parties and fulfilling them with ReelMint, under your name or anyone else's ("white-labelling");
  • sell or license Outputs in bulk as stock media, templates or datasets, or use Outputs or the service to build, train or benchmark a competing product.

Reseller and partner arrangements are available; write to [email protected]. Use outside these limits is a breach of these Terms, and we may suspend the account, withhold unused credits obtained through it, and pursue any other remedy available to us.

10. ReelMint's own intellectual property

The ReelMint service — its software, website, design, studio interface, prompts and recipes we supply, examples, documentation, the ReelMint name and logos, and the Minty character and her artwork — belongs to ReelMint's operator and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service; they transfer no ownership. You may not copy, scrape, frame, reverse-engineer or republish the service or any part of it, imitate its branding, or present yourself as ReelMint or as endorsed by it.

11. Copyright complaints

We respect the rights of creators. If you believe content made or published with ReelMint infringes your copyright or other rights, email [email protected] with the subject "Copyright notice" and include:

  • your name and contact details, and your signature (typed is fine);
  • the work you say is infringed;
  • where the material is — a link to the reel page or post, or the ReelMint reference in the file's metadata;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and that your notice is accurate and you are the rights owner or authorized to act for them.

We will review each complete notice promptly, may remove or disable the material and notify the account that made it, and that account may answer with a counter-notice. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. A notice that knowingly misrepresents infringement may make its sender liable for the harm it causes.

12. Plans, credits & payment

ReelMint is a paid service. We sell recurring subscription plans(billed monthly or yearly) and one-time credit packs. Current prices, credit allowances and plan features are listed on our plans page and on the pricing section of our home page. We may change prices, and will give notice of a change before it applies to your next renewal.

  • Credits are the usage unit you spend to run an AI generation. The cost of each action is shown in the studio before you run it. Subscription credits are granted monthly and do not roll over — this is true on yearly plans too, where you pay twelve months up front but receive the same monthly allowance each month rather than the full year's credits at once. Credits bought in a one-time pack do not expire while your account is open and are spent only after your subscription credits. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged, and are forfeited when an account is deleted, cleared or terminated.
  • Merchant of Record. Card payments are processed by Creem, and cryptocurrency payments by NOWPayments. Your receipt is issued by that provider and its descriptor — not "ReelMint" — is what appears on your statement.
  • No trial period. Subscriptions are charged in full at checkout; there is no trial period. Every subscription renews under the next point. The earlier trial offers (the 7-day early-access trial and the later trial on the Lite plan) are closed; a subscription still on one runs it to its end as agreed, its plan's full price is charged automatically when that trial ends, and if that charge fails the trial's credits are removed. What every plan includes is free usage of every AI model in the studio, with no restriction on which model you run; credits meter how much you generate.
  • Renewal & cancellation. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your billing page; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. It does not end that period early and nothing is returned for it.
  • All sales are final. Credits are delivered to your balance the moment a payment is confirmed. By completing a purchase you expressly request immediate performance, acknowledge that performance begins at that moment, and acknowledge that you lose any right of withdrawal or cooling-off period that might otherwise apply. We do not refund, exchange or pro-rate any purchase — not unused credits, not a started subscription period, not a yearly plan paid up front, not a trial that converted, not a result you do not like — except for the correction of a verified processing error or where a law that cannot be waived requires it, and then only to the minimum extent that law requires. The full rules are in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. A failed video generation is never charged: its held credits are released automatically, which is a pricing rule, not a refund.
  • What a plan includes is what the plans page says when you buy. The models, resolutions, clip lengths and features available to each plan are listed on the plans page and in the studio at the time of purchase, and they change over time as AI providers add, change and withdraw models. A model that is not on your plan, is not available to your account, or stops being available after you bought is not a defect, not a failure to deliver, and not a ground for a refund; your credits remain spendable on everything your plan does include.
  • Automated bots. Credits spent by Bot Studio, Mint Stage and every other automated or multi-step feature — creating a bot, planning its story, and every scheduled run it performs — are non-refundable in full, including when a later step of a run fails. A single run performs several independently paid steps (writing, generation, and any upscale, soundtrack, dub, subtitles, caption or hashtag work you enabled), and each is consumed as it is performed. Because a bot spends on a timer without you present, the cost of one firing and its projected daily and monthly cost are shown to you before you save it; that quote is where the spend is agreed. Pausing or deleting a bot stops future runs and does not reverse runs already performed.
  • The Private Studio plan. The Private Studio plan is sold without a trial; its first charge is taken at checkout and is final. It includes a private ReelMint studio of your own on a separate host, provisioned with your account email the first time you open it from your billing page and reached through a short-lived sign-in link, and it spends the credits of your reel-mint.com account from either studio. Its model catalog is limited to the model families named on the plans page at the time of purchase, which change as providers add and withdraw models. No ReelMint content screen runs before a generation on this plan; the AI provider's own safety systems still apply to every request and are the provider's, not ours, and a refusal by them is not a defect, an outage or a refund ground. Section 3, Section 8, the Acceptable Use Policy and the law apply in full regardless, you are the sole operator of what is generated on it, and you accept sole responsibility for all of it. When the plan ends, lapses or is terminated, the private studio stops accepting new generations and may be closed, and nothing is refunded or pro-rated.
  • Chargebacks. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute for a purchase delivered under these Terms is a breach of them. We will give the payment processor our records of your acceptance (at signup, at sign-in and at the checkout itself), delivery and usage, and we may suspend the account, withhold remaining credits and refuse future purchases. You agree to reimburse us for any fee a payment provider charges us for a dispute you open that is decided in our favour.
  • Taxes. Prices are exclusive of VAT, GST and sales tax where applicable; the Merchant of Record calculates and collects any tax due at checkout.

13. Credentials & security

OAuth tokens issued by connected platforms are stored encrypted at rest and are used only to publish on your behalf. You are responsible for keeping your account password secure, and for every purchase and generation made through your account, by you or by anyone you let use it. If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password and disconnect affected accounts immediately.

14. Service availability & changes

ReelMint is provided on an as-is basis with no uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, models, prices, credit costs and plans at any time. Third-party AI providers and connected platforms may change, restrict or retire models and APIs in ways that temporarily or permanently affect specific features. None of this entitles you to a refund, a credit or compensation; your remedy is to stop using the service.

15. Disclaimer of warranties

REELMINT, AND EVERY OUTPUT GENERATED THROUGH IT, IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. REELMINT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE, LAWFUL, ORIGINAL, SAFE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY USE, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY THIRD-PARTY AI PROVIDER OR SOCIAL PLATFORM WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE. ANYTHING MINTY, THE IN-APP ASSISTANT, SAYS ABOUT A MATTER OTHER THAN THE GENERATION IT IS RUNNING FOR YOU IS MACHINE-GENERATED, MAY BE WRONG, AND IS NEITHER A STATEMENT NOR A PROMISE OF REELMINT. NO CONTENT SCREEN, FILTER, MODERATION STEP OR SAFETY SYSTEM IS WARRANTED TO EXIST, TO RUN ON ANY GIVEN REQUEST, OR TO CATCH OR TO PASS ANY GIVEN CONTENT; THE ONES THAT RUN BELONG TO THIRD PARTIES AND MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. YOU USE REELMINT AND ITS OUTPUTS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

16. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL REELMINT OR ITS OPERATOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, CONTENT, REPUTATION OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE REELMINT, ANY OUTPUT, ANY THIRD-PARTY AI PROVIDER, OR ANY PLATFORM YOU PUBLISH TO, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. REELMINT'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS OF ANY KIND IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID REELMINT IN THAT PERIOD OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. THESE LIMITS APPLY WHETHER A CLAIM IS BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, STATUTE OR ANY OTHER THEORY, AND THEY ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN US. WHERE A LAW DOES NOT ALLOW A LIMIT ABOVE, IT APPLIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT THAT LAW PERMITS.

17. Termination

You may stop using ReelMint and delete your account at any time from the bottom of your Billing page. We may suspend or terminate access, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, a connected platform's rules or the law, for a payment dispute, or to protect the service or other users. Credits remaining on an account that is deleted, cleared, suspended or terminated are forfeited and are not refunded, and a private studio linked to such an account is closed with it. Connected platforms may independently revoke ReelMint's authorization at any time, which would prevent further use of the affected features until re-authorization. Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18 and 19 survive termination.

18. Disputes

  • Talk to us first. Before starting any formal claim against ReelMint you agree to write to [email protected] describing the problem and what you want, and to give us 30 days to resolve it informally.
  • Individual claims only. To the fullest extent the law permits, any claim must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding, and you waive any right to bring or take part in one.
  • Time limit. To the fullest extent the law permits, a claim arising out of these Terms or your use of ReelMint must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to it, or it is permanently barred.
  • Where you have non-waivable rights. Nothing in this section removes a right that the consumer laws of your country or region do not allow to be removed; those rights apply to the minimum extent that law requires.

19. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy, are the whole agreement between you and ReelMint about the service and replace any earlier understanding. No statement on social media, in marketing, in a help page or by a member of staff changes them.
  • Severability. If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, that part is applied to the maximum extent permitted and the rest remains in full force.
  • No waiver. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it on any other.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to anyone else. We may assign them to a successor of the service.
  • Language. These Terms are written in English; a translation is for convenience only and the English text governs.

20. Changes to these terms

We will reflect substantive changes on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of ReelMint after a change constitutes acceptance. The Terms in force when you make a purchase govern that purchase.
