Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ReelMint ("ReelMint", "we", "us") is a social-media cross-posting service operated by Codeaeon and available at reel-mint.com. ReelMint lets each registered user upload videos and images and publish them to their own connected social-media accounts (X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) from one place. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use and store it, who we share it with, and how you can access or delete it.

ReelMint is a multi-user service. Each user has their own account, and every user's media, connected accounts, and activity are isolated from other users. New accounts are reviewed and approved by an administrator before they can sign in.

2. Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

  • Account information — your email address, a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text), an optional display name, and your account status.
  • Connected social-account identifiers — the id returned by each platform you connect (X user id, YouTube channel id, Facebook user/Page id, Instagram business-account id, TikTok open_id), the public display name, and the public profile URL.
  • OAuth tokens — the access and refresh tokens issued by a platform when you connect an account, stored encrypted at rest (NaCl secret-box) and used only to publish on your behalf.
  • Media you upload or import — your video/image files, generated thumbnails, and their metadata (MIME type, duration, dimensions, size), plus the captions and hashtags you provide.
  • Publish records — the platform, target post, the resulting external post id, status, and any error a platform returns, and (where the platform's API permits) public engagement counts for posts you publish, to show you basic analytics.

3. What we do NOT collect

  • We do not run third-party advertising or sell your data.
  • We do not use third-party advertising identifiers or tracking cookies.
  • We do not collect your contacts, address book, or social graph.
  • We do not access audience or follower data beyond what is needed to confirm ownership of the account you connect and to display basic analytics for your own posts.

4. How Google and YouTube data is used (Limited Use)

ReelMint's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

ReelMint uses the YouTube Data API v3 only, and only to provide the features you request:

  • Identify the YouTube channel you connect (channels?mine=true).
  • Verify ownership of a YouTube URL you paste for re-publishing (videos?id=…).
  • Upload videos to the channel you connected (videos.insert).
  • Read basic public statistics for videos you published through ReelMint, to show you analytics.

Data obtained from Google/YouTube is used solely to provide and improve these user-facing features. We do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service or as required by law; we do not use it for advertising; and we do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security or to comply with applicable law.

By using ReelMint's YouTube features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Where your data lives and how it is secured

  • Accounts, posts, connected-account records and publish state: a MySQL database on infrastructure we control.
  • Video and image bytes and thumbnails: object storage we control.
  • Passwords: stored only as a bcrypt hash, never in plain text.
  • OAuth tokens: encrypted in the database; the decryption key is held only as a deployment secret.
  • All traffic is served over HTTPS, and the session cookie is httpOnly.

6. Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. The only outbound transfers of your content are the API calls ReelMint makes to a connected platform when you instruct it to publish. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the security and integrity of the service.

7. Retention and deletion

You stay in control of your data:

  • Disconnect an account — remove a connected platform from Settings; its stored tokens are disabled and can no longer be used.
  • Delete content — deleting a post removes it from your library and the underlying stored file is deleted.
  • Delete your account — you can delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete account. This deactivates your account and revokes your session; your associated records are removed or anonymized. You may also email us to request deletion.

You can additionally revoke ReelMint's stored Google/YouTube data at any time via your Google security settings.

8. Revoking access

You can revoke ReelMint's access to any connected platform at any time from that platform's own security settings:

  • Google / YouTube: myaccount.google.com/permissions
  • X (Twitter): x.com/settings/connected_apps
  • Meta (Facebook & Instagram): facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools
  • TikTok: tiktok.com/setting/apps

9. Children

ReelMint is not directed at, nor intended for, children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We will reflect substantive changes on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of ReelMint after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests to access or delete your data, can be sent to [email protected].
