How to turn an image into a video with AI in ReelMint
Upload a photo or a generated still, describe the motion, pick an image-to-video model with its price shown, and get a clip that starts from your frame.
Image to video animates a still you already have: a product shot, a portrait, a frame from the text-to-image tab. You describe what moves and the model films from that frame. Some models also take an end frame or several reference images.
Open the Image to video tab
Studio, then Mint Studio, then the Image to video tab. The composer shows an image slot above the prompt.
Pick the starting frame
Choose an image from your Library or upload one (up to 10 MB). Portrait images suit 9:16 reels; landscape suits YouTube.
Describe the motion, not the picture
The model already sees the frame. Write what changes: "the camera pushes in slowly, her hair moves in the wind, city lights flicker behind her, 8 seconds."
Choose a model and read the price
Image-to-video models range from very cheap to premium. The picker shows each price; the Generate button shows the total for your length and resolution.
Generate, then publish
Click Generate. The clip lands in your Library with a thumbnail. Share it to your channels from the same screen.
Questions
Can the video end on a second image?
Some models accept an end frame, so the clip morphs from your first image to your second. The composer shows the end-frame slot only on models that support it.
Does it keep the face the same?
Models hold the starting frame well for short clips. For a recurring character across many videos, create a Character with a face sheet and cast it instead.
