Clip cost = plan price ÷ credits it includes × credits one 10-second clip takes, on each tool's cheapest paid plan. Synthesia: no standalone text-to-video clip; the nearest unit is a generated b-roll asset at 48 credits (1,200 credits = 25 assets): Starter $29 ÷ 1,200 × 48, length and resolution not shown. Avatar video is 120 credits per minute, about $0.48 per 10 seconds. ReelMint: $29 ÷ 2,600 credits × 60 credits. Source for Synthesia: www.synthesia.io/pricing.

When Synthesia is the better pick

Corporate training, explainers and multilingual talking-head video, where minutes of a consistent presenter matter more than cinematic clips. Its avatar library, dubbing and SCORM export are far beyond ReelMint's scope.

When ReelMint is

When the video is a means to a post. ReelMint prices each render before you click, lets you pick the model per job, and then publishes to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X from the same screen, or hands the whole loop to a bot that posts every day. $29 buys about 43 ten-second clips a month.

Questions

Synthesia or ReelMint?

Different jobs. Synthesia for a presenter reading a script in many languages for training and internal comms. ReelMint for generated clips, anime, talking photos and voice clones that go straight to social channels, priced per render and automatable with bots.

Can ReelMint do a talking presenter?

A talking photo: one portrait plus a line or your cloned voice, billed per second of audio. It is not a library of stock presenters with dubbing; Synthesia is stronger there.

Which is cheaper for social clips?

ReelMint. A generated asset on Synthesia Starter is about $1.16 with unspecified length; a 10-second clip on ReelMint Starter is about $0.67, and the result is posted for you.
