ReelMint vs Runway

Runway pricing, and what the same clip costs in ReelMint

Runway is a research-led video generation studio built around its own Gen models, with a full editing suite aimed at filmmakers and agencies. Below: both tools' published prices, one clip costed the same way for each, and what each does after the video exists. Runway figures were read from its pricing page on 12 September 2026.

Clip cost = plan price ÷ credits it includes × credits one 10-second clip takes, on each tool's cheapest paid plan. Runway: Standard $15 ÷ 625 credits × 120 credits (Gen-4.5 at 12 credits per second, 720p native). ReelMint: $29 ÷ 2,600 credits × 60 credits. Source for Runway: runway.com/pricing.

When Runway is the better pick

Directors and post-production teams who want Runway's own Gen-4.5 model, its motion-brush and camera controls, and a timeline to finish the film inside one tool. If the deliverable is the film itself, Runway is a serious choice.

When ReelMint is

When the video is a means to a post. ReelMint prices each render before you click, lets you pick the model per job, and then publishes to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X from the same screen, or hands the whole loop to a bot that posts every day. $29 buys about 43 ten-second clips a month.

  • Free credits are one-time, not monthly; every free render carries a watermark.
  • Gen-4.5 renders at 720p natively; 1080p needs a third-party model on Runway (Seedance 2.0 Pro at 160 credits per 4 seconds, about $9.60 per 10 seconds) or an upscale step.
  • Parallel generations are capped at 5 on Standard and credits roll over only on Max.

Questions

Is ReelMint a Runway alternative?

For making short clips to post, yes: the same 10-second clip costs about a quarter of Runway's Standard-plan price and ReelMint posts it to your channels. For long-form editing inside one timeline with Runway's own model and controls, Runway is the more complete editor.

Why is the Runway clip 720p in the table?

Because that is what Gen-4.5 outputs natively on Runway; 1080p there means a different model at a higher credit rate, or an upscale. ReelMint's figure is its default rate for the workhorse models at the resolution you pick, and the exact price is printed on the Generate button before you click.

Does Runway post to TikTok or YouTube?

No. Runway gives you a download or a share link and sized exports. ReelMint connects the channels once and publishes, schedules, or lets a bot post daily.
