How to Auto-Post AI Videos to a Facebook Page and Page Stories

Connect your Facebook Pages once, then post or schedule AI videos to any Page with a written post, and add the same video as a Page Story up to 2 minutes.

To auto-post AI videos to a Facebook Page, connect Facebook to ReelMint through the Meta login, and every Page you manage becomes its own destination; then open a video, press Share, tick the Page and publish or schedule it. A Bot Studio destination can also post the same video as a Page Story, up to two minutes long.

We build ReelMint, an AI video studio that publishes to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X. This guide covers the Facebook side: connecting Pages, writing the post, Stories, scheduling and the limits Meta enforces.

Step 1: request access, then connect your Pages

Our Meta app is still in Meta's review, so Meta lets only invited accounts connect for now:

  1. Open Channels, then Connections. On the Facebook card press Request access and type the Facebook ID of the account that manages your Page: the number in facebook.com/profile.php?id=NUMBER, or the whole profile link if it shows a name.
  2. We add it to the app's tester list and email you. Meta sends no email of its own.
  3. On a computer, signed in with that account, open facebook.com/settings/?tab=applications, scroll to the ReelMint invitation and press Accept.
  4. Press Connect in ReelMint, sign in on Meta's page and approve the publishing permission.

Every Page on the account becomes a separate destination with its own Page token, so one login can feed several Pages, and each video can go to any subset of them. An Instagram business account linked to one of those Pages comes through the same login. ReelMint never sees your password. Connecting needs no subscription; posting needs a plan. Full steps: connect your channels.

Step 2: write the Facebook post

Open any video in your Library, press Share and tick the Page. The Facebook tab has its own text box, up to 5,000 characters. Facebook readers see the whole post, so the AI caption button (1 credit) writes it conversational and complete: context, what the video is, an invitation to discuss, and two to five hashtags at most, because Facebook reach barely responds to them. Your own tags go first.

Facebook accepts vertical (9:16), landscape (16:9) and square (1:1) video, so one master can go to the Page as it is. Oversized renders, such as an 8K upscale, are swapped for a 1080p H.264 copy for publishing.

Step 3: add a Page Story

In Bot Studio, each Facebook destination has an Also post it as a Story checkbox. The bot posts the video to the Page and the same video to the Page's Stories. Facebook Page Stories take a single photo or a single video, and a video Story runs up to two minutes, twice Instagram's 60 seconds per frame. That gap is why the same video can land as a Facebook Story and need cutting into parts for an Instagram one.

Step 4: publish now or schedule

Publish sends it now. A date and time on the Facebook tab schedules it, and each Page can have its own time. The scheduler checks every minute, and scheduled posts appear on the dashboard, where you open the post to change or cancel it before it goes out. See the scheduling guide.

What happens when Facebook is slow

A Facebook video upload is fetched by Meta's servers while the request waits. On large files, Meta's edge sometimes times out even though the upload lands anyway. Re-posting blindly would publish the video twice. So when that happens, ReelMint checks the Page's videos for about two minutes, looking for one created after the attempt with the same text. If it finds it, the post is recorded as live. If it does not, the post fails with a message asking you to check the Page before retrying.

Meta's limits

  • Spam throttle (error 368): if Meta decides the Page is posting too often, ReelMint pauses that Facebook destination for six hours, notifies you and shows the pause on the dashboard. It lifts on its own. A bot posting hourly to Facebook and Instagram is the usual cause.
  • Tokens: Meta tokens cannot be refreshed after they expire; they can only be swapped for a fresh long-lived one while still valid. ReelMint does that in the background on a schedule. If one expires anyway, the Channels dot goes hollow and you get one notification to reconnect.

Failed posts

A failed attempt is retried quietly up to three times, after 30 seconds and then 2 minutes. After the third failure you get a notification and an email with Facebook's reason. Rate limits and the ambiguous timeout above are never retried automatically, because a second attempt could prolong a block or double-post.

A Facebook Page on autopilot

Bot Studio generates a new video on a schedule, writes the Facebook post alongside the Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X copy, and posts it to your Pages, plus a Story if you ticked one. The monthly cost is on screen before you save. See autopilot or the bot guide.

What it costs

Posting to Facebook costs no credits. Generating the video does, priced before you click. Plans start at Lite, $9.99 a month for 800 credits, every plan with every AI model.

Can I post to more than one Facebook Page?

Yes. Every Page on the connected account is its own destination, and each video can target any of them with its own text and time.

How long can a Facebook Page Story be?

Up to two minutes for a video. A photo Story is a single image.

Does ReelMint post to my personal Facebook profile?

No. ReelMint posts to Facebook Pages you manage, each with its own Page token.

Why does Facebook say I cannot connect?

The Facebook account you signed in with has not accepted the ReelMint tester invitation yet, or it is not the account that manages the Page. Accept it at facebook.com/settings/?tab=applications and connect again with that account.
