How to restyle a video, or film from a reference clip, with AI in ReelMint
Upload a clip and either restyle it (same motion, new look) or use it as a reference for a new clip on Wan 3.0, Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Kling O3 and Gemini Omni.
Video to video does two things. A restyle keeps the timing and motion of your source and changes how it looks. A reference model films a NEW clip from your prompt that follows the clip you give it: its motion, framing, subject or look. Both start from a clip in your Library.
Open the Video to video tab
Studio, then Mint Studio, then Video to video. Pick a source video from your Library (short clips are cheapest, since the price is per second).
Restyle or reference
Models marked "Video Edit" or "Transformation" restyle the clip. Models marked "Reference" (Wan 3.0 and 2.7, Seedance 2.5 and 2.0, MiniMax H3, Kling O3, Gemini Omni) use the clip as a reference and film something new from your prompt.
Add stills if you want
A reference model also takes pictures beside the clip: up to 10 on Wan 3.0 and Seedance 2.5, 9 on Seedance 2.0 and MiniMax H3, 5 on Gemini Omni, 4 on Kling O3 and Wan 2.7. The clip is Video 1 and the pictures are Image 1, Image 2 and so on in your prompt. Stills are free on Wan and Seedance; MiniMax H3 charges a little for each still past the fifth, and the price shows it.
Describe the result
For a restyle, say what should change and what should stay: "same motion and framing, turn the street into a snowy night, keep the clothes." For a reference, say what to keep from the clip and what the new clip shows: "replace the man in Video 1 with the man in Image 1, keeping the same motion, camera and background", or "the same dolly-in and lighting as Video 1, but a chef plating a dessert." The reference models need a prompt.
Check the price
A restyle is priced per second of the source clip. A reference model is priced on the clip's seconds plus the output's, at the rate shown; Gemini Omni charges a flat price per clip. The Generate button shows the total before you press it.

The result is a new Library post next to the original, so you can compare and publish whichever you prefer.
Questions
Can it replace a face only?
That is Character Swap, a separate tool that keeps everything except the face. Video to video changes the whole look.
How long can the source be?
Up to the clip limit shown on the model page. A restyle of a longer source is cut into pieces and joined. A reference clip is never cut: Wan 3.0, MiniMax H3, Kling O3 and Seedance 2.0 take up to 15 seconds of reference, Seedance 2.5 up to 30, and Gemini Omni uses the first 10 seconds of a clip up to 30. On Wan 3.0 the clip and the output together may not exceed 30 seconds, so a 12-second clip leaves up to 18 seconds of output; the length choices adjust once the clip is attached. Pick "same as the clip" under Output to film exactly the clip's length.
What is the difference between a reference clip and image to video?
Image to video starts the clip from your picture. A reference clip steers a new clip: the model copies its camera move, pace, subject or style while filming what your prompt describes.
