Minty for Social Media Managers: Run a Content Calendar From a Chat

Run a social media content calendar from a chat with Minty: recurring bots, one-off videos and ads, and an approval card before anything spends.

A social media manager can run a content calendar from a chat by telling Minty, ReelMint's built-in assistant, what should go out and when: Minty sets up recurring posting bots, makes one-off videos, ads and photo films, and shows an approval card before anything spends a credit. We build ReelMint, and this post is the working method we would suggest for someone managing one brand or several, with the parts Minty does, the parts you still do on the Share screen, and the costs.

What Minty is

Minty is a chat that runs the studio. It uses the same tools as the rest of the product: models and prices, generation, characters, Bot Studio, Mint Moments, Mint Ads, your connected destinations and your library. Lists come back as cards you can page through, finished videos appear in the chat, and a question it needs answered becomes a card with choices instead of a guess.

The approval card

This is the rule that makes a chat safe to run a budget from. Every call that spends credits, starts something that keeps spending, or deletes something is not run when Minty decides on it. It is parked as an approval card showing what will happen and what it costs, and it runs only when you approve. That covers creating a video, a photo film or an ad, saving a bot and running a bot now. If you send another message instead of answering, the pending call is declined for you. Minty is also told never to say something is "starting" unless the approval card for it is in that message.

Prices on those cards come from the same estimator as the Generate button, never from the model's own arithmetic, and Minty is told not to propose anything above your balance.

Building the calendar: one bot per content pillar

A content calendar is mostly recurring slots: a tip on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, a product scene every morning, a weekly story episode. In ReelMint each recurring slot is a bot, and you can create them from the chat. Type /bot to narrow Minty to the bot tools, then describe the slot:

"A 20-second vertical cooking tip for TikTok and Instagram, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 18:00 Berlin time. Friendly tone, one tip per video, subtitles in English."

Minty lists your connected destinations, drafts the recipe, quotes one firing and states the monthly figure, then shows the approval card to save it. Saving a bot costs nothing in itself; every firing buys a generation. Ask for it to be saved paused if you want to review the first result, then ask Minty to run it once now.

The schedule options are what a calendar needs: one or more times a day in a named timezone, specific weekdays or every day, and up to six firings a day per bot. A bot on three weekdays is quoted at about 12.9 days a month, not 30. Type /bots to see them all, check recent runs, or pause and resume one, for a campaign gap or a holiday week.

One-off posts: make in the chat, schedule on Share

For a launch or a reactive post, ask Minty directly: a text-to-video clip, a multi-scene film, a 15-second ad from a product page with /ad, or a film from event photos with /moment. The result lands in your library.

Scheduling a single library video happens on the Share screen, not in the chat. Open the video, press Share, tick the destinations, and each one gets its own tab with its own caption and its own date and time, to the minute. One AI pass writes every platform's caption, and "Find viral hashtags" researches current tags for 5 credits. Scheduled posts are listed on the dashboard and can be deleted before they go out. The scheduling guide has the details.

Several brands, several accounts

You can connect more than one account per platform, and every bot or post targets any subset of them. YouTube channels, TikTok profiles, Instagram business or creator accounts, Facebook pages and X accounts all connect on the platform's own sign-in page, and connecting needs no subscription. Facebook and Instagram are by invitation while our Meta app is in review: you request access on the card, we add the account as a tester, and you accept the invitation in Facebook settings.

What it costs

  • The chat: each message you send costs 1 to 2 credits for the assistant's own work.
  • What Minty makes: exactly what the same thing costs in the studio. A 10-second 720p clip on the cheaper video models is 45 to 90 credits.
  • Bots: one firing times firings per day times 30. A 30-second daily reel on a mid-priced model with music and upscale is around 900 to 1,400 credits a firing.
  • Publishing: free, except an X post at 2 credits and the optional hashtag research at 5.

Plans start at Lite, $9.99 a month for 800 credits; Starter is $29 for 2,600. Every plan runs every model and Bot Studio is on every plan. One practical note for managers: Lite runs one creation at a time, while Creator runs three, Studio five and Agency seven, which matters when several pillars fire in the same hour.

A weekly routine that works

  1. Monday: ask Minty for /bots and read last week's runs. Pause anything that underperformed.
  2. Adjust one bot's brief or schedule in the chat; approve the save.
  3. Make the week's one-off pieces (an ad, a photo film) and approve each card.
  4. Schedule those on Share, per platform, with their own captions.

The Bot Studio tutorial and the autopilot page show the bot screen if you prefer to set slots up by hand.

Can Minty spend credits without my approval?

No. Anything that spends, keeps spending or deletes waits on an approval card, and a card you walk past is declined.

Can Minty schedule a single post?

Minty runs recurring bots and makes one-off videos. Scheduling a single video to a date and time is done on the Share screen, per destination.

Can I manage several client accounts?

Yes. Connect several accounts per platform, and target any subset of them from each bot or post.

What does chatting with Minty cost?

1 to 2 credits per message, plus whatever you approve it to make, at the same price as the studio.

Do I need a subscription to connect channels?

No. Connecting is free on any signed-in account; generating and posting need a plan.
