How to Turn a Website URL Into a Video Ad With AI, From 10 Seconds to 3 Minutes
Paste a website address and get a narrated video ad with music, 10 seconds to 3 minutes, vertical, landscape or square. Steps, limits and prices.
To turn a website into a video ad with AI, paste the page address into Mint Ads, add a line of direction if you want one, pick a length, a shape and a quality, and press the button: ReelMint reads the page, writes the ad from what it says and films it with a voice-over and music. A few minutes later you have an MP4 between 10 seconds and 3 minutes long, in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1, at 480p, 720p or 1080p.
We build ReelMint, and we built Mint Ads because most ad tools start with a blank prompt box. Yours already has a website that says what the product is. This post walks through the exact steps, what the tool reads, the limits and what it costs.
What Mint Ads reads from your website
Paste a home page, a landing page or the exact product page you are selling, then press Read the website. Before anything is bought, the studio shows you what it found:
- the brand name and the page title
- the description and the feature bullets
- the pictures the site puts forward: the share image and the largest product shots, up to three, which are handed to the ad as references so the product keeps its real look
If it picked up the wrong page, paste another. Reading a website costs nothing.
When the website is an app and links to the App Store or Google Play, those listings are read too. Their description and feature list become facts the writer may use, and the store's own screenshots go into the ad as they are, shown in a phone during the beats that demonstrate those features. No video model invents or redraws the interface.
How to make the ad, step by step
- Open Mint Ads. Studio, then Mint Ads. Paste the address and read the website.
- Check what was found. The brand, title, description, features and first picture appear under the address. That is what the ad is written from.
- Say how you want it (optional). Tone, audience, language, what to show, what to say, in your own words. The box goes to the copywriter as the client's brief. If you are not sure what to write, press Write it for me: for one credit it writes a creative brief from the website (audience, tone, look, voice, call to action), or sharpens your notes into one, and you edit it. Leave the box empty and the ad is written from the website alone.
- Pick a length, a shape and a quality. 10 seconds to 3 minutes. Vertical for Reels, TikTok and Shorts, landscape for YouTube and the web, square for feeds. 480p, 720p or 1080p. The credits on the button update as you choose.
- Press Make my ad. The site is read, the ad is written, then filmed. You can follow each step on the ad's page and you get a notification when it is ready.
- Post it. Open the finished ad, press Share, tick your connected channels and publish or schedule.
Lengths: one take up to 15 seconds, scenes beyond it
A 10- or 15-second ad is filmed as one continuous take. A 15-second ad is three beats of about five seconds each: the hook, the proof, the call to action. Because it is one take, the voice-over flows across the beats instead of restarting at every cut.
From 20 seconds to 3 minutes the ad is written as a story (the problem, the product, how it works, who it is for, proof, a call to action) and filmed as scenes of up to 15 seconds, cut together on hard cuts with the same product and world throughout. A 30-second ad is two scenes; a 90-second ad is six. Each scene is a complete thought, so no sentence is cut mid-way.
The captions and a brand card with your real logo are placed on the picture afterwards, never drawn by the model. An Arabic voice-over is read by the music studio over a music track written to the ad's length, each line laid under its own beat.
What the ad will not say
An ad that promises something the product does not do is worse than no ad. The copywriter is told to use only what the page says. Your direction sets the tone, the audience and the language; the facts still come from the website. Specifically, the ad:
- never invents a feature, number, price, award or guarantee
- never names a competitor
- never makes a medical, legal or financial promise
On the ad's page you can read the finished script beat by beat: what is on screen, what the voice says and the on-screen captions. If it did not land, sharpen the direction and press Redesign for a fresh take.
What it costs
The exact credits for the length, shape and quality you picked are printed on the button before you press it, and that is the figure charged. Reading the website is free; Write it for me is one credit; a failed render is not charged. Longer and sharper ads cost more, because each scene is a render.
Every plan runs every model, Mint Ads included. Lite is $9.99 a month for 800 credits and Starter is $29 a month for 2,600 credits; see plans and the credits guide for what those buy.
Which websites work, and which are refused
Any public page that can be read without signing in works: a home page, a landing page, a product page, a store listing. These are refused before anything is charged:
- pages behind a login
- an IP address instead of a domain name, or a private or internal host
- pages with no readable text, or pages that block automated readers
An app whose website is a web player with little text on it falls back to the site's home page for its facts.
After the ad is made
The finished ad lands in your Library like any other ReelMint video, with a caption and hashtags already written for the post. From one Share button you can publish or schedule it to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook and X, each with its own caption, or hand it to a bot that posts on a schedule. The full walkthrough is in the Mint Ads help article, and the feature page is AI ad generator.
Can I use my own product photos instead of the website's?
Mint Ads uses the pictures the website itself publishes. For an ad built from your own photos and your own script, Mint Studio's reference-to-video models take up to ten stills plus your prompt.
How long does a video ad take to make?
A few minutes. The website is read, the ad is written, then filmed, and you are notified when it is in your Library.
Can I make the ad in another language?
Yes. Write the language in the direction box. The voice-over is spoken in the language of your direction, or the website's language if you leave it out.
Does every ad have a voice-over and music?
Yes. Every ad is filmed with a natural voice-over, light background music, and the brand name plus call to action on the final frame.
